Players don't like it. Have a feeling all the greedy bastards won't be playing/making money for a few more weeks.

They won't be missing any regular season games. Just won't happen. But the first couple weeks of the regular season will be awesome to watch.

In all fairness the owners dropped this 300 page CBA on their laps after their 8pm tele conference...the players need time to read it before they ya or nay it...and knowing the intellect of some of them it may take a little while to read...

Um...it was 300 pages because the owners had to include lots of pictures.

To clarify I believe both sides to be incredibly greedy. The main thing that should be taken care of is retired players and medical needs. Otherwise both sides are making way too much money and should STFU.

Eh, I don't blame them.

I used to think athletes got paid too much. I still think they do, but the average "lifespan" for an NFL player is 3.7 years. Imagine if you only had four years to earn all the money you could at just about the only thing you were ever good at (that is an overgeneralization, but you get my point). Imagine if a bunch of that money you earn will inevitably go to medical bills.

Yes, folks get paid a lot of money to play a game. But at the end of the day, many of these guys have one shot to earn their living, are virtually guaranteed they will be out of work by the time they are 30, and will be faced with decades of problems due to their participation. You best be sure I'd be trying to milk every dime.

Ditto!
