#46 David Strider FB
6-0 265 lbs Sr.
Chelsea HS AL
A huge pile-driving back who will actually be an H-Back in this year's offense. Strider has also been used as a receiver out of the backfield on occasion. His primary use, however, will be to move the pile, especially on short yardage plays.

DEFENSIVE TACKLES COACH: KURT CORBIN (Arkansas Tech)
Kurt Corbin is in his third season with the Lumberjack football program. Arriving in the Piney Woods prior to the 2009 spring drills, Corbin came to Nacogdoches after spending the 2008 season at Tennessee-Chattanooga. During his lone season with the Mocs, Corbin worked with the UTC linebackers.
Corbin's charges were a huge factor in helping SFA finish among the nation's top 20 in tackles for losses and top 10 in the country in sacks in 2009. He produced two All-SLC selections in Kenneth Charles and Sean Warren. For an encore, Warren capped his career by earning first-team All-SLC honors.
SFA recorded 40 sacks last season, nine more than any other league school. The 'Jacks finished the year ranked third in the country in sacks (3.42 pg) and fourth in the nation in tackles for losses (8.33 pg).
Corbin came to Nacogdoches with considerable knowledge of the Southland Conference after spending two seasons as a defensive coach at Northwestern State. During his time in Natchitoches, La., Corbin helped produced one of the league's more intimidating defenses.
In 2006, the Demons led the league in six defensive categories, including total defense, rushing defense, pass defense efficiency, opponent first downs and opponent third downs. Corbin helped produce two of the better players in the nation in All-Americans Ed Queen and Tori Collins.
Corbin coached the Demon linebackers and took on the added responsibility of defensive coordinator the following season. Northwestern State posted similar numbers leading the SLC in four defensive categories. The Demons finished the year tops in the league in total defense, pass defense, opponent first downs and opponent third downs.
Corbin began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State in 2001. After spending his first two seasons with the Demons, he was named the defensive line and linebackers coach at Arkansas-Monticello. After two seasons with the Weevils, Corbin spent the 2005 season as the receivers coach at Arkansas Tech.
Corbin received his bachelor's degree from Arkansas Tech in 2001. He graduated with a master's degree from Northwestern State in 2003.
