They are currently an independent. The Great West Conference, doesn't count since they have no automatic bids!!

Will the Southland admit them without a football team, with the requirement that football has to be added within 5 years of admission into the Southland?

Great West football will not exist following the 2011 season. All teams currently in the GW are moving to the Big Sky Conference with the exception of South Dakota who is moving the the MVFC.

Isn't Houston Baptist looking to join the Missouri Valley for their sports? I thought I heard them possibly joining for baseball at least maybe after next year?..

SLC has already said 'thanks, but no thanks'. League is fine with 10 members for time being. HBU has many issues besides football - namely facility issues for hoops and baseball.

Dallas Baptist...

They are D2 in everything, but baseball. They will play baseball in MVC. Very solid program who qualified twice as an at-large, even though independent
