No story yet, but the Dodgers just filed for bankruptcy here in the First State. I'll post a story when someone gets something up on ESPN or SI or something. Looks like MLB could take over the Dodgers sooner rather than later.

Dodgers File For Bankruptcy (http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/news/story?id=6708046)

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers filed for bankruptcy protection in a Delaware court Monday, blaming the refusal of Major League Baseball to approve a multibillion-dollar TV deal that owner Frank McCourt was counting on to keep the troubled team afloat.

The Chapter 11 financing permits the Dodgers to use $150 million for daily operations and buys time for the team to seek a media deal, the team said in a news release....

God please let it be sooner. I'm so tired of McCourt trying to keep the team when he's been doing a terrible job of owning it. First the McCourt divorce drama, then the Giants win the World Series and now this? Worst year as a Dodger fan ever.

Having done a good deal of bankruptcy work, this is pretty fascinating stuff. It has the makings of a real soap opera.

Can't wait until McCourt is out. Don't forget to add the beating that has tarnished the name of Dodger fans. It's been a pathetic year for the Dodgers. Hopefully they get a new owner that'll actually care about it's fans. Attendence is down because fans simply don't want to support what the Dodgers have been recently (beating, McCourt bs, etc.)

Walter O'Malley is probably spinning in his grave knowing that this has happened to his once storied franchise.

Screw O'Malley. He never should have left Brooklyn!
