Western Kentucky has the unlucky fortune of going to the WNIT for the 2nd straight even though, they easily had their best season. I thought for sure they would get an at-large berth.

On Tuesday night, Western Kentucky played a very tough Kansas State team who as recently as last year went to NCAA Tournament. WKU was not playing with a full deck because Tiffany Porter-Talbert was suspended by the coach by violating team rules and WKU paid a heavy price for it. Despite this, WKU committing 27 turnovers they forced OT on the Wildcats. WKU was leading by as much as 7 points during the game. At the half WKU lead by 1 point. Western Kentucky didn't have enough in the tank in the OT period as WKU loses 56 - 57 in OT to Kansas State. WKU had a fantastic season as they finish with a 27 - 7 record. Great job ladies and will be back stronger than ever for next season!
