I've know the Mench family since I was a kid. I played ball with Kevin's older brother, Dave, and my little brother went to HS with Kevin (Kevin also played in the Little League that I coached in). The Mench's are all know for their large craniums. Dave was affectionately known as "Pumpkinhead" when I was a kid and Kevin has the distinction of having the largest hat size in the majors - hence, the Shrek nickname.
