Griz get look at new faces

Spring football, by definition, can be a little un-exciting. Montana Grizzly fans can thank a handful of transfers for making the 2006 drills, which begin Monday at the Riverbowl, a lot more interesting.

“It'll be exciting for the coaches, too,” said Bobby Hauck, now in his fourth season of leading the Griz. “We can't do anything with these guys until our 15 allotted (spring) practice dates. We're really anxious to get out and see everybody.”

It'll be the coaching staff's first real look at quarterback Josh Swogger, corner Dramayne McElroy, running back Reggie Bradshaw and receiver Craig Chambers. All of them are Division I-A transfers, from Washington State, Arizona, Louisville and Washington.

They'll join a group that is coming off an 8-4 campaign and a Division I-AA record 13th straight playoff appearance.
