Jon Garland became the first seven-game winner in the American League and joined Florida's Dontrelle Willis as the only two pitchers in the Majors to reach that mark.

7-0 2.39 ERA!!!

So is Dontrelle Willis of the Marlins. ERA of 1.08 or something. That is SICK!!

He gave up 8 hits....not what I would call a flawless performance. The O's had a stupid base running error that cost them at least 1 run. He's a good pitcher but certainly beatable.......just my :twocents:

He gave up 8 hits

When you give up 8 hits and lose, you got pounded. When you give up 8 hits and win, you "scattered" 8 hits.

7-0, no has beat him yet, Tejada had a shot in the 8th but Garland whiffed him with the go ahead runs on base!!! BTW, I never said he was flawless!!! just undefeated!!!

Hawk Harrelson is the biggest HOMER on the planet!!! You have to understand, we have been waiting for 4 seasons now to the arrival of Jon Garland, and finally he is giving us what we thought we had stolen from the Cubs back in 98. This is his 6th season yet is only 25!!! It is very exciting for us here near Chicago to have a #5 starter 7-0, last yr I think we has 2 wins out of that spot. Plus we, probably like Baltimore, were picked 4th in our Division, and the fast start has everyone soooooooooooo excited!!! So maybe all those facts combined will help you understand why Hawk thinks he is the 2nd coming of Christ, the media here is just waiting for him to fall apart. I wish they would enjoy the run but they, as usual, just sit and wait for the negative. I know Baltimore had 8 hits but until the 8th Inning, Garland was dominant!!!

Like I said, he's a good pitcher.....I couldn't believe all the broken bats. That pitch up & in on Tejada was something......not many pitchers would be able to pull that off.....I don't have anything against Garland or the Sox, it was just tough to listen to the knucklehead in the booth (not Ventura)

I was impressed with Cabrera and Beddard. Cabrera gave up some runs but gave his team a chance to win and Freddy was pretty bad Saturday. Beddard just baffled the Sox Sunday and a well earned split between the best 2 teams in baseball!!!
