Joe Lunardi has actually projected the teams that will get in the NIT, even how things will fall as it relates to hosting games in the postseason tournament itself.
Teams mentioned include those that won their regular season title, but did not win their conference title. Quite a few schools with I-AA ties listed amongst schools thinking NIT...

I hope Holy Cross gets in again and I would like to see Rutgers make a nice run.

Temple will be there for the 5th straight year. Our Elite 8 run of 2001 seems eons ago.

I'd be really pumped if UVA could host another game at U-Hall. I'd like a second chance to win the LAST game there.

Bucknell beat Holy Cross quite soundly today at Bucknell. HC was short-handed with three starters hurt. Had the Crusaders made a closer game, I would think they get a serious look, after their big win over Notre Dame last year. But, now, I don't know.

No interest of SHSU on that list huh TT? We were in the pre-season NIT so why not this one?

RPI...that's what says it all. Our RPI has gone in the right direction as of late, would've been nicer if we didn't lose to Nicholls St and picked atleast one win off of McNeese...but RPI is going to do the Kats in. Must win against NWST.
I really hope we do because I think NW ST could win the NIT and I think the Kats are a formidable foe for a NCAA bid...

I guess USC's wins over North Carolina, UCLA, and Arizona were not good enough. Oh well, I hope Minnesota gets in; I wil likely root for NAU and the Gophers.

I don't think HC will get in. Their non-conference resume is too poor.
And, if anyone noticed, the ESPN smart-guys made three big errors all in a row.
1. They said No. Iowa was ranked 24 when playing Bucknell.... when it was the other way around
2. Stated that the HC bus accident took place outside of the 'snowy roads of Colgate'.. when in fact it took place outside of Lafayette on a crystal clear day
3. Said Bucknell is now the first PL team to be 15-0 after the win... are math skills that neglected these days? Two conf. tourney wins, plus the PLC, is 17 wins.
yikes.. well, they did a good job covering the game overall.
