Lamar University football will open the 2012 season at Louisiana Tech, and will earn a $175,000 payout to play there, coach Ray Woodard said Tuesday.
A contract for the season-opening game that will take place Sept. 1, 2012, in Ruston, La. was signed on Tuesday morning.
