Wow, never heard of Cal Poly. Great, under the radar this year (but not in some other, must-not-be "major" (!?) national polls not included here).
Maybe we're 37, 47, 57?, who knows....

I was wondering too where Cal Poly was? Its okay preseason polls mean absolutely nothing.

Yeah I wouldn't worry too much considering the Sporting News has Western Illinois ranked 15th and many predict they could finish like 8th or 9th in the Valley.

That sporting news ranking has to be about the worst I have ever seen, I know it is preseason but they have what was a 5-6 OVC team ranked 14th.

i've always like consolidated rankings/polls... multiple opinions in one place are a good thing in my book.
i like this. no preseason ranking is perfect, but this one looks as good as the next.

Check check. Do your homework. Racers are deserving of pre-season accolades this year after a comeback year under new Coach Chris Hatcher last season. Murray State went 6-5 in 2010, won 6 of last 8, falling to Jax State in closing seconds on the road. Personnel changes at mid-season paid immediate dividends as the offense wound up 5th in the country. Offense returns intact and will put up huge numbers this year. If the defense improves MSU could easily be in the Top 10 before season's end. Just had to defend their Sporting News ranking after you took a shot at them. Go Racers!

MSU should be the first or second team in the OVC this year.

Yep. Yep. Took it as intended. Gotta have sense of humor and thick skin to play on the message boards. Let's hope the OVC gets some post-season momentum this year!

These polls are such a joke. For example, Liberty is ranked in 5 out of the 6 polls. Whereas Western Illinois, Murray State, and Sac State are ranked in only 3 of the 6 polls yet they're ranked higher in the consolidated. I don't see how one poll can have Sac State 10th and 3 others not have them ranked. I'm just glad it's all played out on the field.

If you have the same DC as Hatcher had a GSU...the defense won't improve much. The fact that GSU's dc came in last year and went from last in conference to top of the conference with the same players really shows that.

Liberty needs to start making the playoffs. The program is highly regarded, thus the Top 25 placement every year. But they've got to start delivering, or the goodwill may not be there in the future.
