Should be a good game. I think I'm pulling for the Griz as I think they have the best shot at an upset in the next round, but NAU is very confident right now (perhaps too confident for their own good). Should be a good game, I-AAers that are bored should check it out. ;)

As I said in an earlier discussion with dbackjon, I was MUCH more worried about EWU last night than NAU tonight. They just seem to have matchup problems against the Griz. Hell, if the Griz hadn't imploded here earlier this year (when they were up by 18 in the second half), I think the results of this game would be a foregone conclusion. That being said, they almost let EWU steal one last night after being up 14 in the second half, so anything could happen. I may drive up to Flag for the game tonight!!!

Go Jacks!

Should be a good game - we'll see how tired Montana is after going to OT the night before, while the Jacks cruised in their game.

My heart is rooting for Northern Arizona because I love Flagstaff (well, I love Montana too!), but my brain says Montana will win.

Wish it was an NAU-Montana showdown in football...

Good luck to both squads, I had a long few days at work, I may skip this one and get ready for the big SLC semifinal between SFA and SHSU tommorrow...

36-25 GRIZ at the break....They have to keep this lead -- they blew a 19 pt lead the last time they were in Flagstaff...

Wish this game was at Dahlberg in Missoula :nonono2: The Skydome is nice but it is no basketball arena....

What sucks is we are 23-6 and we'll probably get a 15 seed and have to face a final 4 contender.

I am crossing my fingers for a 13 seed. Hopefully they will look at the Stanford and Old Dominion (who won their conference) bracket buster game. I know it's a bid of a long shot but I think it's possible.

That bracket buster game was actually against Oral Roberts, but I hope your right about the committee taking that into consideration.

If only we could have beaten UW-Milwaukee, we would have beaten 2 conference champions (3 in LMU holds on against Gonzaga). I wouldn't be surprised to see us with a 13 or 14 seed.

You mean Oral Roberts. We just don't have enough top 50 victories, we need to toughen up our schedule next year. To get a good seed you need 5-6 top 50 games and you need to win at least half of them.

Corrected -- I meant Oral Roberts.

OK. Just walked in the door after driving 2+ hours each way to see the GRIZ handle NAU easily for the second straight time. If you watched the game on the tube, I was the guy yelling "NIT for NAU" when it was real quiet....hope you could hear me.

Good, hard fought game by the Griz once again. As far as the NAU fans go, I have never been so embarrassed for a school in my life. I'm not sure what their motivation was, but they were some of the rudest, most disrespectful fans I'd ever seen at a game. I'm sure you could hear them on the TV yelling "Bull****--Bull****---Bull****!" every time the ref made a call that didn't go their way...very classy. Also, holding up intelligent signs like "I poop bigger than #10" (UM's 5'10" point guard), and "Brokeback Montana" and (here's a classic) "****". Oh, and one of a drawing of a milk cow with the words "Montana Team Mom". Absolutely hilarous...:nonono2: :nonono2: Then some SOB pissed-off, poor-sport NAU fan pulled a freaking fire alarm as he left the building, so right as the celebration began by the Griz players, everyone had to evacuate the building. Yet another class move by a totally classless student body. I'm sure America is real proud of you guys tonight....you made the Cameron Crazies look like saints. :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2:

"Bring On Duke" my ass. You guys will be LUCKY to get selected for the NIT. : smh : : smh : : smh :

And I predict a 13 seed for the Grizzlies, and a victory in their first round matchup.

First off - congrats to the Griz for the victory. Obviously, the outcome sucks, but represent the Big Sky well.

Second - too bad some yahoos ruined the celebration by pulling the fire alarm.

NIT here we come.

Thanks Jon. Your NAU head coach sounds classy. Good luck in the NIT. I hope you can win a couple of games and boost the BSC reputation.
