Never a good thing, but not a big deal really as there are NO restrictions. Seems our new program of getting true Fr. into summer classes didn't meet the guidelines of the NCAA for hours/courses. Whereas others have grade changes and players that don't even go, we get cited for sending kids TO class. xconfusedx

Looks more like you didn't send the the kids to enough classes in the summer. Hopefully it was more of an honest mistake than known skirting of the rules.

Can you write a better headline than "NCAA Reprimands Samford For Sending Students to Class"?

Or "Samford compensates students for tuition for classes they weren't enrolled in or that didn't count."

Definitely seems like an honest mistake by Samford. And they self reported it... so, no major punishments... but, it's not like the NCAA can just let it slide. NCAA would have been wrong to hammer them and would have been wrong to do nothing. Seems like they made the right decision to me.
