South Dakota State placed a league-high 59 players on the 2010-11 Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll, conference officials announced Tuesday. The Jackrabbits led in all categories of the recognition, placing seven of the 23 players league-wide to earn the highest academic achievement by capturing the Missouri Valley Football Conference Presidents Council Academic Award. SDSU's seven honorees were: Casey Cuppy, Tyler Duffy, Matt Hylland, Conrad Kjerstad, Jacob Ludemann, Kyle Minett and Dean Priddy. The award is presented to student-athletes who have compiled a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average (through the fall 2010 semester) and participated in college athletics for at least two years. In addition, 23 Jackrabbit student-athletes received the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award for posting a GPA of 3.2 or higher for the previous two semesters.
