The NFL doesn't get it. Pro football has been succeeding because it is so competative, unlike MLB. If the cap is gone only the wealthy teams will have a shot at the title. It will be just like MLB where only the Yankees(:nonono2: ) and their like funded competitors have a legit shot at the title every year.

The owners and players are all knuckle heads, people don't want to listen to those piss ants whine how they're not getting their fair share. I call BS. If they go the route of MLB and further go to pay per view , I say F'em. :twocents:

I really hope the NFL gets their act together. I agree, the NFL is competitive year-in and year-out. I can hold out hope that the Texans can bounce back this year, right?

Here's hoping that something happens this week that is positive for the future of the NFL...

In the last 5 season, the NE Patriots have won 3 titles and the Yankees have won zero.

If the NFL wants to get a handle on "wealthy teams," they don't need a salary cap, they need more revenue sharing.

The Yankees who simply outspend everyone else. That's not how the Patriots put together a team and won 3 out of 5. No comparison, IMHO. I agree that revenue sharing is one of the big pieces of the puzzle though.

Interesting stats looking at the "Final Four" for the last five years:

Super Bowl winners 3
World Series winners 5

Super Bowl participants 8
World Series participants 9

Conference Championship participants 12
LCS participants 13

Baseball wins all 3

Maybe its not as broken as we all thought?
