Despite two of its stars getting upset, the youngsters and workhorses in the trenches came through to pick them up and lead Lehigh to its 5th straight EIWA Championship, last accomplished in 1931-35. Lehigh will send NINE out of ten wrestlers to the NCAA's on March 16-18 in Oklahoma City. 3-time all-american Troy Letters (165) reinjured his neck but battled through to make a 4th place finish and a wild card ticket to the NCAA's. Hopefully he can heal in the next 10 days.

I do have to congratulate my neighbors to the West. Good job by the Hawks. Good luck at the event!

Thank you. No one in their right mind would have thought the team could pull out the win if told ahead of time that Letters and Zinck would not win their weight classes. Projections had the winner succeeding by 3 pts or less. That's why it's done on the mat (or field) and not through polls. We have a decent shot to finish in the Top 10 at Nationals. Anything above #6 will be gravy.
