GREENSBORO - A new initiative to reduce gridlock in the tailgate and parking sections of Aggie Stadium inspired North Carolina A&T State University to introduce the new Game Zone. The new Game Zone area will also improve safety, increase financial support for N.C. A&T Athletics and allow for a more pleasant game day experience for all Aggie football fans and alumni.
"As we move forward in our effort to rebuild our football program, we want to provide our fans with a better experience," said director of athletics Earl Hilton. "Our new Game Zone is the first step toward this new endeavor. We believe the Game Zone will create a more festive and safe environment for our loyal and devoted fan base who have shown tremendous and continued support throughout the years."
Effective this year, fans will be required to have the appropriate parking pass to enter the Game Zone area as well as have a valid season or game ticket. All patrons - pedestrians and those in vehicles - must show their tickets for entry into the Game Zone.
The area in and around Aggie Stadium whose borders are the corner of East Lindsay Street and Headquarters Drive, south to the corner of Sullivan and East Lindsay streets, and east to Sullivan Street and Benbow Road encompasses the Game Zone.
Vehicles will have access to the Game Zone via lots A-3 and A-4. Points of entry for pedestrians include Entrance 1, corner of East Lindsay Street and Headquarters Drive (Lot A-4); Entrance 2, Strickland Field House (Sullivan Street); and Entrance 3, corner of Benbow Road and Sullivan Street.
Game Zone tickets are available during the University Ticket Office's regular business hours. Tickets also are available for purchase online at www.ncat.edu/~tickets and may be purchased with a VISA, MasterCard or American Express card.
Satellite locations will be available to purchase tickets on the day of the game. Visit www.ncataggies for more information about the season, or call the N.C. A&T Athletics Department at (336) 334-7686 for more information.
