With six teams in contention, who gets in?

Bradley, Creighton, Missouri State, UNI, Southern Illinois, and Creighton.

I think we will get five: WSU, Missouri State, UNI, Bradley, and Southern Illinois

I think 4 teams are in right now, if Bradley wins the tourney, then 5, I think UNI will be left out

Several things worked against the MVC's favor the last day or two that I think cut it from five to four teams...

Against...
A&M beat Texas Tech. A win in the Big XII tournament should get them in...
Cincy getting the win against the WV Mountaineers, giving them another big win...
Indiana gets the win against Michigan, which may sneak them in the backdoor next Sunday...
Michigan fell to Indiana, which means that Michigan is probably still dancing...

I don't think UNI can be left out. They beat Bucknell, Iowa, and won at LSU, the SEC leader.

That said, I think the following will get berths: So. Illinois won the auto, so N. Iowa, Missouri St., and Wichita St. Missouri St. has a very strong RPI, I think 17. Creighton is too iffy. And Bradley is squarely on the bubble. A weak final game didn't help. Interesting that the MVC is stronger in RPI numbers than the Pac10 and just below the Big 12. So, five teams in is not unrealistic.

CBS was talking five bids late this afternoon.

The MVC will get four

SIU- auto-bid
WSU- Regular season champs
UNI- resume is too good not to get invited, plus their RPI is solid
MSU- great RPI, if they are left they would have the best RPI rating to not get an invite

Crieghton and Bradley will be in the NIT

Will get 3 should get 2.

Are you on crack?

Currently Joe Lunardi has the MVC with 5 bids, with Creighton being the team left out.

He says Southern Illinois, Wichita State, UNI, and Bradley are locks at this point with Missouri State barely in and Creighton barely out.

After a 5-5 bracket busters that all they deserve.

Excuses: ;)

SIU was trying to count Paul Millsap's rebounds
WSU was trying to find out who George Mason was
Drake wondered if UC Irvine had wine.

I forget which other two schools lost.

You are basing the entire conference over 10 games?

Did you forget that MVC teams have beaten the following teams: Iowa, Indiana, Purdue, Nebraska, Bucknell, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, George Mason, and LSU to name a few?

You're the only person in American who thinks so.

What Fargo said. Except I think Creighton and Mizzou State go NIT'in. No way UNI doesn't get in. They have more name recog than any other team in the conference. They're def in, especially having cracked the Top 25 recently.

Just like the 1-AA playoffs isn't it? One game out in who'-know's-where northwestern USA could affect if Southeastern U gets an at-large...

I think the MVC definitely gets four and maybe five if there are no big surprises in the remaining conference tournaments. Six would only be possible if most of the big conference bubble teams lost first round games.

The bigger problem for the MVC is that none of the teams, outside of maybe Wichita State, will get a decent seed. So, there's a good chance the conference could go 2-5 in the tournament and everyone will talk about how overrated they were. That would be a shame.

Who beat Indiana and Purdue?

Indiana State beat Indiana

Evansville beat Purdue

Both of those teams are so called MVC "bottom feeders."
