FCS School to be Featured in FSN Version of Hard Knocks

This was rumored a few months back - can now be confirmed... pretty good get for UTSA, since it will be additional TV time for the fledgling program...

And yes... they are at least considered FCS for now, right?


Snooki, Jonny Fairplay and ... Larry Coker?

Despite his lack of leading-man looks, Coker will likely join the reality television ranks at some point in the coming months with a show on Fox Sports Southwest.

Based on HBO's popular NFL program “Hard Knocks,” the FSNSW show would follow the Roadrunners in monthly, half-hour installments leading up to their first game this fall, station spokesman Ramon Alvarez said.

UTSA will open its inaugural season against Northeastern (Okla.) State on Sept. 3.

Would be nice to have a talking head on the radio or TV devote some time each week or program to the world of FCS. Then maybe, the FCS will gain the appreciation and exposure it deserves.

UTSA made it official...


DALLAS — FOX Sports Southwest will launch a new reality sports documentary series this week that will chronicle the start of the University of Texas at San Antonio's inaugural football season.

“UTSA Football: The Birth of a Program” will premiere at 11:30 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, May 14, with the first of six 30-minute episodes that will follow the Roadrunners to their inaugural season opener on Sept. 3 against Northeastern (Okla.) State.

The series will be carried on FOX Sports Southwest, FOX Sports Houston and FOX Sports Oklahoma, which reach more than 10 million cable and satellite TV homes in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
