In Diego Estrada’s first national championship appearance, the sophomore from Salinas, Calif., broke both his school’s record and the Big Sky record in the 5,000m. The previous record for both the school and the league was set by former Northern Arizona teammate and last year’s NCAA champion in the event, David McNeill. Estrada’s time of 13:29.01 placed him fourth overall and shaved almost eight seconds off of McNeill’s record gold medal time.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/BigSky/~4/uBQ4N9jRKHE
