Same prediction as 2009 and 2010,need to go 2-2 or 3-1 in first four games and will dictate improvement . Anything less and watch out.

I like URI's chances for its first winning season since 2001.

URI should want to be at least 4-2 before they go through the 3-game gauntlet of UD/UNH/W&M.

Very favorable schedule. No reason Rhody can't be 6 - 1 prior to facing UNH.

UMass is rebuilding, and UD will be in the first year of their new QB.

If the Rams can go 6 - 1 (in addition to Cuse, they could trip up in the Brown game (away)), prior to UNH, they would only need to win 1 more to qualify for the playoffs, and the Rams end the season with Towson.

Tis a shame, the Rams are leaving the CAA.

Well, the kid did lead two long scoring drives against JMU's highly respected defense, the last drive consuming the final 5 minutes of the game. It's not like he was a kid in the backseat of the car - he was driving the car. And why minimize the 13 points scored - that was just one less than the 14 that nova put up on the same team. And let's keep it real - having that OL in front of him, AP to hand the ball off to, and all those WR's to throw to means that the car he's driving isn't some 1980's Yugo - it's a pretty high performance car. I'm not worried about the offensive side of the ball - I'm only really worried about the defensive backfield, and even then, it's just because it's unproven in game situations, not because there isn't enough talent there.

We were by no means a push over. Not many 6-5 teams have such a strong defense that kept us in just about every game. If our offense showed a pulse like in prior years, we would have been highly respectable and maybe even taken your playoff spot....

URI will be interesting to watch this year. If they can plug the few gaps they have on the defensive side, they will surely be improved over 2010. How successful they will be may hinge on whether their depth improves. The tough four game stretch of UD/UNH/W&M/JMU comes late in the season when depth can be critical.
