Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga cornerback Buster Skrine likely gave his NFL draft stock a big boost Tuesday by running the fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL combine.

Skrine ran an unofficial time of 4.29 in his first attempt, the only sub-4.3 time of the combine. He stumbled a bit on his second run and still was clocked at 4.36.

Pretty sure he didn't even make the top 5 fastest times. Unofficial times of everyone are always .1-.2 lower.

Havaen't been on in forever so I apologize for being late but yes Skrine was not the fastest. Here are his times that were sent out by the NFL Combine to the 32 NFL teams:

1st 40: 4.48/4.37 hand held, 4.50 electronic
2nd 40: 4.48/4.53 hand held, 4.57 electronic.

He plays like a 4.40-4.45 guy not a 4.2 guy like the UTC coaches said he was. He did outstanding though in the shuttles and 3-cone and looked great in drills. Could go as high as the 80-110 range I'm hearing from league sources although most scouts gave him a 6th-7th round grade based on the season.
