I see an article claiming the FCS committee met on Tuesday to make a recommendation on the 10 auto bids for 2011.

Does anyone know whether or not they recommended any changes this year? Just the facts, please.

My guess is the Pioneer request for an AQ is not granted.
Remember, the NEC applied multiple times (I think it was 3 or 4 years) before the NCAA finally approved playoff expansion that allowed for 2 extra AQ spots that were then awarded to the NEC and Big South for 2010.

The Pioneer League has applied in the past.
Did they apply this year? I am not certain, but we know they have in the past, so can assume they did this year.
There were several FCS-related meetings this week though. Tom Burnett, the SLC Commissioner tweeted about the high praise for the NCAA title game in Frisco.

So...no one knows.

I'd consider it a fairly shocking development if anyone's AQ was taken away and given to the Pioneer. I'd expect the next debate to be whether we should expand the tournament to 22 with an 11th AQ.
