That's a hell of a schedule to start off the season! If you can somehow start off 4-2, the consider yourself pretty much a lock for the playoffs. You should easly win 4 of the last 5 games of the season. Only have to worry about 2 games once you get into October (GSU & WOF).

The first half of the season is pretty tough especially at Neb, at The Rock and at Paulson; great OOC schedule IMO. 7-4 should get you into the playoffs, 8-3 should be a lock for the playoffs.

Two OVC OOC games. Is Chatty headed to the OVC too?

We'll give you them and you can have Samford back if you give us Jack St.

I think JSU is going the FBS route & the records show they seem to like the poor ole OVC. Since Jacksonville State joined the Ohio Valley Conference in 2003, the Gamecocks and Colonels have the top two winning percentages in league games – Jacksonville State (47-13, .783) and Eastern Kentucky (46-14, .767).

2-2 or better out of the first 4 would be good.

Sept. 3 - at Nebraska - SOLID Nebraska
Sept. 10 - Jacksonville State - LEAN Chattanooga
Sept. 17 - at Eastern Kentucky - LEAN Chattanooga
Sept. 24 - at Appalachian State - LEAN Appalachian State (epic matchup)
Oct. 1 - The Citadel - SOLID Chattanooga
Oct. 8 - at Georgia Southern - LEAN Georgia Southern (epic matchup)
Oct. 15 - Western Carolina (Homecoming) - SOLID Chattanooga
Oct. 22 - at Elon - SOLID Chattanooga
Oct. 29 - Furman - SOLID Chattanooga
Nov. 5 - at Samford - SOLID Chattanooga
Nov. 12 - Open
Nov. 19 -Wofford - LEAN Chattanooga (epic matchup)

Best case scenario: lose only to Nebraska (10-1, 8-0 SoCon)
Worst case scenario: lose to ASU, GSU, Wofford, Jacksonville St., EKU and Nebraska (5-6, 5-3 SoCon)
Most likely scenario: 6-2 SoCon, 8-3 overall (might shock the world at Boone or Statesboro, but not both), playoff bid for the first time in some time.

That game in Paulson is going to be brutal for the Mocs.
