Amazing to see how Yankees respond to geographical media bias when it's not in their favorxeyebrowx

Just imagine if you had to put up with it all the time like the rest of the country.

I laughed when I saw more OVC teams in the poll than the CAA.

Huh? There's a northeast bias in college football polling? Do pigs fly in your world and is the sky a color other than blue too? That must be an interesting world you live in when the South isn't getting respect in national polls.

Shocked that Chris Hatcher had a 900 yd rusher. If he'd called a few more runs and less of those damn screens, he might still have a Georgia address.

Let's see, we made it to the final four and return 23 of 24 starters.

You guys always go for it on 4th down? We occasionally do have to use our punter and field goal kicker.

The demise of the CAA is underway, .... only 3 in the Top 25, .... beware the OVC, however.

OOPS! I mis-counted earlier, obviously. Anyway, point is that based on the last few games of the season we are only losing one guy who was starting at any position. We did have one or two other seniors that started some games earlier, but only one at the end. Heck, we even have our long snapper back, too.

Southern is returning that many starters because it takes them 7 years to graduate.

No doubt about it with the Sports Network in Philadelphia. Southern and App get props, but TSN contributes to the CAA love fest as much as anyone. The SEC is actually over rated as Pac 10 and Big 12 teams would give anyone of them a hard time any day. The northeast talent is split among basketball, hockey, and other sports. It's a cliche to say "Football is a Religion in the South", but it's true. Yankees are more about pro sports, while small towns in the South put 15,000 in a high school stadium on Friday nights.

If it were up to the Sports Network Poll and Sagarin to choose a NC game, it would most likely be CAA vs Big Sky. Yes, pigs fly from DC to Chicago and Newark frequently and the sky doesn't have a color, but light passing through our atmosphere may appear to be blue on a clear day.

If it were really up SN, we'd have an App St/CAA title game, but it isn't up to them, is it?

Besides, from where I sit, there's nothing "Yankee" about W&M, UD, JMU or Richmond

ah yes... the OVC. i keep forgetting that they win national titles pretty much every year.

i'm seriously not offended by this, i think it's kind of funny. but there will be plenty of people (including many of you) that will look down on JMU. the fact is that we bring back one of the best defenses in the nation, and if i remember right, it's something like 10 of 11 starters and tons of backups. the reason we couldn't win last year was because of terrible QB play, there's no way it could possibly be worse. just a slight improvement should make us a playoff team. but if we need to fly under the radar and get overlooked for a few months, fine with me.

No worries, we have Antonio Pierce to pick up the slack on offense.

Have to agree. Look at northeastern school's attendence minus Deleware. Football is more important to everyone here. And yes there is a NE media bias. Hence why the CAA is soooooo overrated.

As the joke goes, when you go to a football game in the North, you have to ask directions to the stadium. When you go to a game in the south, you just have to listen.

It is way to early for polls. Have to wait on possible transfers, and who might get suspended over the summer.
Also injuries that might happen when the schools are palying the $money$ games from the FBS.
Sure would be cool for the FBS if we waited until October for first poll, and set a logical trend.
