Reported in yesterday's Lafayette newspaper that Weiss made a number of comments that seemed to show him leaning toward recommending athletic scholarships in those PL sports that others have begun offering. From the article, it sounded as if there is still much debate to go on, with a good number of faculty expressing various concerns, but it would appear Lafayette will be joining the rest of the PL with limited athletic scholarships by next year--assuming the BOT goes along.

I just wish the article was a bit more in depth. Perhaps some conflicting viewpoints, outside commentary, and background info. on the issue. I feel like I'm reading a press release.
