For new Texas State head coach Dennis Franchione, time was of the essence. Franchione returned to Texas State and assumed the helm of the Bobcat football program on January 7. Following the announcement of his hiring, Franchione couldn’t be on the road recruiting for the next six days during the football coaches’ convention in Dallas. He spent that time in his office getting himself organized and hiring a new staff.
