Nelson Named CAA Football Student-Athlete Of Year

UMass senior wide receiver Anthony Nelson, the 2010 CAA Football Student-Athlete of the Year, headlines a list of 89 CAA Football Academic All-Conference honorees for the 2010 season. Nelson, who maintains a 3.88 grade point average in Economics, has appeared on the league’s Academic All-Conference squad each of the last three years. Prior to the end of the 2010 season, the Wellington, Fla., native was named one of 52 FCS Athletics Directors Association (FCSADA) All-Stars. The senior garnered a very prestigious academic honor following his final collegiate season when he was named a First Team Academic All-American by ESPN The Mazagine/CoSIDA.
