South Dakota State University head football coach John Stiegelmeier announced that 18 high school standouts and two junior college players have signed a National Letter of Intent, indicating they will enroll at SDSU and compete for the Jackrabbit football program. "Today, Signing Day 2011, is a great day. Signing Day is always special for the football staff, but this one seems a bit more special than others," Stiegelmeier said. "Today's class is the result of a great effort by all of our coaches. Their efforts resulted in winning a number of tough recruiting battles, which translates into a great class for 2011. We have covered all our needs and we have recruited a great class of student-athletes to add to a team of the same. This class is full of winners." Signing on Wednesday, the first day of the national signing period, were: Bryan Burke, 6-4, 270, defensive tackle, Payson, Ariz.
