While perusing the post season rosters of the Canadian Football League teams, I was pleased to see quite a few former FCS players listed. My quick count came up with 59 athletes, from 32 schools, in 11 conferences. The CAA had the most players (16), followed by the Big Sky (11). UMass led all schools with 6 players listed, UNH 5, and EWU 4.

Just wondering about other former FCS'ers to play up north and if any of this year's graduating class has been recruited.

Last year SBU got its first two to the CFL - Lawrence Lovell and Dwayne Eley. We then got a third later in the year with Conte Cuttino.

We don't graduate much, but it wouldn't surprise me to see LB Arin West end up there, or Chris Richards since his release from the Seattle Seahawks.

Our biggest windfall might be after next year, with some major talent graduating.

North Dakota's Weston Dressler of the Saskatchewan Roughriders was the 2008 CFL's most outstanding rookie award winner.
