Well, in an attempt to get over UCD not playing Cal I have a question. When was the last time that a 1-AA beat 1-A team two years in a row? Davis beat Stanford, and in my belief has a verrry good chance of "upsetting" San Jose State. Any thoughts?

I say Aggies by 6.

Don't mention this on SJSU's board, they have a major inferiority complex.

Montana beat Idaho four years in a row: 2000-2003.

I know, I know--Idaho is hardly even a I-A....

Yeah Ralph, I know. I should probably hold my tongue. But SJSU is just in such bad shape these days, right down there with Idaho.

Montana straight owning the Vandals must be sooo embarrassing.

The UC Davis vs. San Jose State game will be a good one. Hopefully the Ags can make it two in a row.

This isn't the last time, but Furman went undefeated (4-0-1) in FIVE consecutive seasons against legitimate I-As.

1982 - beat South Carolina (28-23)
1983 - beat Georgia Tech (17-14)
1984 - beat N.C. State (34-30)
1985 - beat N.C. State (42-20)
1986 - tied Georgia Tech (17-17) after blowing a late lead

Sac State beat UOP in 1991 and then followed it up in 1992 with a win over Cal State Fullerton. Both IA programs at the time.

I believe App State beat Wake Forest two years in a row. Both games played in Winston-Salem too. The game was known as the "black and gold bowl".

I think I may be wrong...
I thought we beat Wake 98' and 99'
We did beat wake in 98', but not 99'. It was
the 2000 season that when we beat them again.

UNI has a storied history against the MAC conference, the last being Ball State in 01', I believe they tied for one of the MAC's two divisions championships that year but lost a tie breaker to play in the MAC Championship Game. We beat Ohio the year before (I think it was the year before, 00' or 99' it is seeming so long ago). Since then we can't get any MAC schools to play us, well, except Youngstown State!
