SAVANNAH, Ga. – Needing a career game to become Norfolk State's all-time leading rusher, DeAngelo Branche (Norfolk, Va.) delivered the game of his life. The senior running back broke LaRue Harrington's career rushing record by logging a career-high 41 carries for a personal-best 233 yards and scoring three touchdowns to lead the Spartans (6-5) to their fourth straight win, 42-6 over Savannah State on Saturday afternoon in the finale for both at Memorial Stadium.
