Not sure where it ranks overall but that has to go down as one of the more thrilling title games in the history of the division.
Congrats to Eastern Washington for pulling off a comeback for the ages.

Just from looking at past scores, this was the closest game since '87. IMO though, the best game ever was 2003.

Very good comeback win from a team that got dominated early and then dominated the other team late.
I'm still partial to the 2005 game with Richie Williams hobbling down the field being carried by linemen and the sack/fumble recovery for the winning touchdown.

Certainly ranks as one of the greatest comebacks in FCS, heck NCAA, history. And combined with the NDSU and Nova games, jeez, what an amazing overall performance by the Eagles.
Why is it that FBS/BCS doesn't want a playoff system? Oh yeah, money...

This would rank up there no doubt. Great game. As a homer, my #1 would be GSU/Furman 85'. Furman lead 28-6 early in the 3rd quarter when GSU comes back to tie it at 28 all after 3 quarters. The 4th quarter saw 4 different lead changes with 3 coming in the final 3:37. And the Eagles scored with 10 seconds left to win 44-42 after having to convert a huge 4th down to keep the drive going.

The 1997 NC game has to still be the closest game statisticly. Youngstown St. 10 - McNeese 9. Looking at every statistic in the game indicates that they were nearly identical in every catagory! The two differences were the one turnover (Youngstown intercepted a pass in 4th quarterthat led to the only touchdown in the game) and of course the one point difference in score.
Jim Tressel (the then Youngstown head coach) said he felt that it was ashame that one team had to win (though Tressel was happy to accept the trophy).

But I'm going to say GSU/Furman - '85.

I guess this is because Delaware won, not because it was a 40-0 blowout of a Patriot League team?
