Am I confusing MVSU with the team that won like a dozen or so chippers in a row in Division II? Must not be, but it sounds so familiar.

You'll beat them handily but Valley has very talented skill players on offense and don't be surprised if they hit a few big plays. Athletically, they can compete for a while but not a very well coached football team.

On Valley's budget the school is lucky to have Coach Willie Totten. Totten is the same guy who threw all of those TD passes to Jerry Rice in the 1980s at Valley. His name is on the stadium and he's in the College Football Hall of Fame. But he is still learning on the job so to speak. The school's budget is meager and the campus is not located in a big city but he is a household name to many in Mississippi so he is able to draw some nice athletes. The key to beating Valley is to jump on them early or capitalize on their mistakes, which they will make, but if you don't, then it could be a long day for the opposition.

Valley did a home-and-home with SHSU a few years back...
At one point, I heard there were talks to doing it again, but you know how scheduling is. Glad Valley is doing a home-and-home with an intersectional opponent.
Does NDSU have plans to schedule some more SLC foes after SFA? Would be nice if the Bison did a home-and-home with SHSU!

I think NDSU is willing to home/homes with anyone
We have already done home/homes with NW St, Nichols St, and now SFA and we were in talks with McNeese

Indeed, have to hand it to NDSU, they will go out and schedule anyone. While I would love to see the FargoDome sometime, it's unlikely UD will ever schedule such a trip in the regular season so we will have to wait until a future playoff matchup. With NDSU's program, they should be a staple in the playoffs once they become eligible.

Yep.......................Vally may not be a strong team, but they have a nack for "rising up and biting your arse hard".
Don't get caught up in the record and homecomming and forget you have a game to play................It could be a loooooooong night.
Seems like every time a player leaves Miss. State..................he ends up at Valley.
They have gotten SEVERAL the last 2 years......................QB is one of them and he's good.

Congrats Bison on getting a fun new match-up! Hope the Jacks AD is looking for similar opportunities for a Home & Home. Should be availability on 9/30 or 10/14 for home games at Brookings. It's not as nice as the domes, but is the consumate true Dakota fall experience.
