When Delaware coach K.C. Keeler welcomed Penn State transfer quarterback Pat Devlin in 2009, he thought good things might lay ahead for the Blue Hens.
“We had a good team around him,” Keeler said. “I thought it might take us a year or so, but we thought he might be the final piece to the puzzle.”
Keeler’s timetable and assessment were spot on. After throwing for 2,664 yards in a 6-5 campaign in 2009, Devlin took his game and Delaware to another level, leading the 12-2 Blue Hens into Friday’s Championship Subdivision final against Eastern Washington.
