Reported tonight on ESPN that Bradley has informed players he will be the new HC at Pitt with only the details to his contract needing to be worked out. Assuming true, who will be the new DC at PSU? And who will take over the speculative 'successor to JoePa' list??

Penn State's Bradley expected to be named Pittsburgh coach (http://www.macon.com/2011/01/05/1400026/penn-states-bradley-expected-to.html#)

Tom Bradley spent 32 years as an assistant coach on Joe Paterno's staff at Penn State, establishing a reputation as a top-notch recruiter and a first-class representative of the Nittany Lions' football program.

Needing a man of Bradley's stature to erase the embarrassment of the Mike Haywood debacle, the Pitt Panthers have hired Bradley as their new head coach, Pittsburgh television station WTAE reported Wednesday night.

They're now retracting their story that he sent text messages to his players and the reporter is apologizing for making it up. Pitt is in the midst of a debacle.

That reporter is an idiot.

I hope that Bradley does get the job. He is a really good coach and a really solid person and he will be a high quality head coach at Pitt-- especially with his deep recruiting connections in Western Pa. It may also force Joe's hand a bit. Bradley may take one or two Penn State assistants with him-- McQueary and Johnson most likely. There are rumors that Galen Hall will retire as well. If this happens Joe will be a lame duck head coach with a decimated staff. How will Joe lure high quality staff members to Penn State for a year or two, especially when he does little these days.
