Major snowstorm bearing down on Philadelphia area as I type. 12-20" of snow predicted in most of New Jersey, with 6-10" predicted for eastern PA. Height of the storm is to be between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. with Iggles/Vikings due to kickoff at 8:20 p.m. Winds 20-40 mph expected. Could be quite a spectacle.

Tried to edit typo in title...should be 'blizzard', but then, again, may have been a 'Freudian slip' as the game could also be 'bizzare', so a nice melding of the words...

Sal Pal just said the game may be cancelled tonight and moved to either tomorrow or Tuesday depending on the weather.

Mayor Nutter will declare a State of Emergency for Philadelphia effective 2:00 pm Eastern. Driving within the city limits will be illegal as per usual State of Emergency guidelines. Can't see any way that this game will go on now.

**EDIT** Now the news saying it's a Snow Emergency, not a State of Emergency... Still looks iffy.

What is the game of football coming to? Can't play in the snow? Its because of Vick...he can't run in that crap. What a joke...

Or because NBC wants Vick vs Favre, and Bret needs a couple more days to get healed.

The forecast is pretty bad for the I-95 corridor, with the worst of the storm to occur between now and after midnight. Windchills are currently below zero. Seems to make sense to me. Of course, delaying two days as opposed to going opposite "Monday Night Football" is clearly a dollar decision.

Yeah, they said as of 7:00 there were over 100 accidents on the PA Turnpike and New Jersey Turnpike in the area.
