Whew...tough start to the season...3 out of 4 on the road and no cupcakes.

Interesting note: Nebraska should be very excited to be playing the Mocs...the last 3 Heisman Trophy winners all played Chattanooga the year they won...

2010 Cam Newton (Auburn 63-24)
2009 Mark Ingram (Alabama 45-0)
2008 Sam Bradford (Oklahoma 57-2)
2007 (Runner Up) Darren McFadden (Arkansas 34-15)

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will be the answer to a college football trivia question one day: Who was Nebraska's first opponent as member of the Big Ten?

The Mocs will open their 2011 season on Sept. 3 at Nebraska's 81,067-seat Memorial Stadium against the Cornhuskers, who moved from the Big 12 to the Big Ten this summer.

"To have the opportunity to play Nebraska is pretty good," Mocs coach Russ Huesman said. "I think the environment, it's Nebraska, the name, I think it's pretty neat."

The Mocs will receive $475,000 for the game, just as they did when they faced Oklahoma in the 2008 opener. UTC received $425,000 for this season's guarantee game at Auburn.

IF Chatty wins the 2 FCS OOC, they should make the playoffs if they win 5 games in conference I think.

EKU finished strong this season, so hopefully the boys can give UTC a better game in 2011.

Of course! Now that we're back there's no reason why we shouldn't blow out every team not named App. State or Furman. xrolleyesx

Really good but difficult OOC schedule. Wish Apps could be that good.

That's a "man up" schedule there for sure... if they win >/= 7 against that slate there won't be any doubt about their playoff worthiness.
