Linebacker Tyler Holmes Named AFCA All-American

UMass junior linebacker and Buchanan Award candidate Tyler Holmes was named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American team on Tuesday. Holmes racked up 110 tackles in 2010 along with a CAA-best five interceptions in the regular-season. That included a school-record two in a game against Maine. He also recorded five sacks from his position. It marks the second year in a row UMass has had an AFCA All-Ameican and 19th all-time.
