Well the game is started. The crew on NCAA.com started the game clueless. They were calling the game as if SEMO had the football although it was definitely EWU with it.. Problem is they did it through the opening kickoff and for the first few plays of the game!

The thing is, it's a 3 man crew with one main announcer and one person knowledgeable about SEMO and the other about EWU, and neither piped up about the blatant error until they just happened to focus in on an EWU helmet on offense and he figured it out. You could tell he was perplexed as to why they had the EWU starting offense on the monitor when he thought it was the other way around, then he finally caught a clue. LOL

You would think it would be obvious.. why would EWU go in white on their red turf? I understand the NCAA guy is not connected to those teams, but wow..

It gives Eastern their own sense of identity. EWU has always been the red headed stepchild in the region. They're non-exisitant coverage in the Spokesman-Review is inexcusable. It's all about Washington State for some still unknown reason. EWU will get the chance for the last laugh when they finally get to play Wazzu in 2012, but I still think they'll be treated like crap regardless of the result.
