Adam Mehrer Named to ESPN Academic All-America Football Second Team

NEW YORK - Columbia senior defensive back Adam Mehrer was named to the 2010 ESPN Academic All-America® Football Second Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Mehrer is one of two Ivy Leaguers on the squad, which features the nation's best Division I college football student-athletes. A four-year starter for the Lions at free safety, Mehrer was one of the top defensive backs in the Ivy League throughout his career. He is on track to graduate from Columbia College in May with a bachelor's degree in economics. Mehrer currently sports a 3.47 grade point average.
