They did a pretty good job selecting, by my estimation. It is no coincidence that SFA was the best team in the conference and they had three of the top skill players in Moses, Crawford and Roberson. Was Moses a unanimous selection as MVP? I can't imagine anybody voting for anybody else.

I am somewhat suprised that Deron Minor, McNeese LB was not on this list.

This is why I'm still excited for the 2011-2012 season. Moses will leave, yes. But we still have a very solid corps of athletes. I think our biggest problem will be keeping J.C. Harper.

I thought the SLC had stayed away from that - is this a new policy this year? Just does not seem right in my book. Think it would give increased pub to other players... possibly promote future stars to help better position them for national awards...

They did it right this year.. I emailed the SLC about either last year or before as it doesn't make sense for the POY to be a different person than the OPOY, unless it was a player who did multiple things like KR/WR, etc. If not, then drop the POY and just have the Offense and Defense versions in the future..

I agree, Retro. After a year like last year when there were a number of really good QBs, and individual stars across the conference, this year was not that case. Aside from SFA, this was really a rebuilding year for a lot of teams with new skill guys being ushered in throughout the league. Moses was the lone senior veteran in a spotlight position, and statistically dominated head and shoulders above everyone else this season.

Glad to see the league use some common sense and give him the accolades he deserves, especially after the career he has had. Hopefully he can keep it going in the playoffs.

We return 10 starters on offense next year. Very promising.
