MARIO KURN ADDED TO TWO NATIONAL POST-SEASON AWARD WATCH LISTS

(San Diego, CA) - University of San Diego junior defensive end Mario Kurn (Encinitas, CA) has been added to two prestigious national Award Watch lists for post-season honors. He is one of 20 finalists for the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Buck Buchanan Award, as well as being named one of 28 finalists for 2010 Ted Hendricks Award. Kurn is the top FCS player in quarterback sacks this season (17 for -118 yards) and ranks second in tackles for loss (27 for -141 yards). Through 11 games he totaled a team-best 66 tackles (38 solo), along with chipping in 2 forced fumbles, 7 quarterback hurries, 5 pass break-ups and 5 pass deflections.
