This will be a popularity contest based on team fans. It wont show true results. Based on total stats Holmes is the clear winner. Just give him the award already. He prob wont win because the rest of the D was young and exp... He was the one bright spot of the D. Makes his numbers look that much better when every team knew where he was but still couldnt stop the talent. Im going to guess he wont win because UMass didnt make the playoffs.

Are you serious? Holmes has better numbers in everything except for tackles vs Sherritt. As for Russell... Holmes has just 2.5 less tackles for loss and 1 sack less then him when great Dlinemen should be far better.
