Who will be the last 4 teams standing in the 2010 FCS Playoff? Time to step up and make our picks. I'll get it started. Here are mine:
Appalachian State
Montana State
New Hampshire
William & Mary
It was tough picking between App. State & Villanova, but it'll be in Boone, so I went with the home-cookin' theory on that one.
Good luck to all teams involved in the playoffs. It's the only way to settle it.

I think a UNH at UD game would be the biggest in the playoffs if it happens, besides the NC...neither team has played eachother and the winner has an excellent shot to win it all in my opinion

Can you imagine the scene in Frisco if Nova and W&M were to meet? Actually unless SFA is in the game it isn't likely to be pretty.

I'm gonna say 854 in attendance, but only 107 paid. see my formula below.
(average of 3 family members per athlete and staff x 2) + 100 die hard football fans + 6 pop warner teams that get to enter for free with their uniforms on + 4 of the 30 lucky fans that won tickets on the radio show call in = 854 fans

Interesting to see an endorsement like this from a fan who team just scored 28 unanswered fourth quarter points against the Gamecocks. I'd think you guys and EKU showed everybody else the way.
Seriously though, the respect from TTUEagles and others in this thread doesn't feel like it fits quite right. Over at http:///www.gojaxstate.com I'm having to remind posters that we're actually in the playoffs with a second-round game at our place. Fans are riled up after last night and very down on the staff.
Seeing our players on the sidelines as the clock wound down, I know they're just as mad. How they and the coaches handle that anger may decide the Wofford game. The Terriers very likely will be facing a furious Jax State team.
I refuse to speculate beyond that. No point in looking ahead for my team - gotta win the next one first.

Make that 855 because I'll be there irregardless. I would never drive to Chat.. for one football game, but I will drive to Dallas. The first championship game that is close enough for me to drive to.

I would expect the Cats to travel well to Texas if given the opportunity, and with our Texas connections there would be a ton of local interest. Heck Denarius' whole home town would probably show up!!

What are you talking about? If W&M is in the title game we will travel better than you think. We have a smaller fan base than many schools, because we are relatively a small school (5,500 undegrads), but we have a dedicated fan base.

I know W&M will travel well (1500-2000), and that is commendable for such a journey. My point is that attendance at the NC is always driven by the "Local" crowd. The Fans from each team make up about 3k-4k, and the rest of the butts belong to locals. By moving the game, the NCAA took it out of a friendly environment for local sales and moved it into a 3rd tier slot. The game was "THE" event in Chattanooga, in Dallas it will be one of 3 or 4 games that week (3 FBS games and a NFL).

I think the question is whether the extra planning time combined with a much easier destination, probably better weather and more to do could lead to bigger contingents from the competing schools.
