Replays show it should have been ruled an incomplete pass, but the play should have never been called in the first place. If you are going to call a play like that, you gotta go deep in case the int happens (plus, everyone is jammed up on the line)...

Our quarterback threw 3 interceptions and we missed 3 field goals. Which is all par for the course this year for UNI. Did Lehigh deserve to win, absolutely. But it was pretty even the entire game as the close score and ending indicated.

With UNI losing to academic-elites who only get scholarships if they don't come from money and WIU needing a touchdown in the last 2 minutes to beat a 6 win Coastal team...this validates that the MVFC is big time down this season.

6 teams at 4-4 in conf play should point towards that as well, but this validates it.


NDSU, of course, will win tonight vs. a half-scholarship team. That's a given. But will just get blown out next week at Montana. Same for WIU, they'll get blown out against their next opponent if it's a real FCS team.

Congratulations to Lehigh. Played so much better than us yesterday. I was surprised to find out we still ran for 223 yards yesterday. Lehigh was consistently getting pressure with 3 and 4 man rushes, and that should not happen.

I was also really really disappointed with the crowd. There were just under 6000 people there. That is the most pathetic crowd I have ever seen. There were better crowds for the 8 man state semifinals. I mean we almost had as many people at a meaningless basketball game against North Dakota.

Congrats again to Lehigh you guys deserved to win. Go give Delaware all you got!!

Greetings. I watched the game at Starters in Bethlehem on a big screen. With the exception of some minor glitches the quality of the screen was fairly good. The key was our defense keeping us in the game until the offense could get settled. UNI's speed in the secondary flumoxed Lum at times, be he kept firing and hitting enough, until the 'big ones' struck in the third quarter. Defense was impressive to say the least. Coach K, the DC, had an excellent plan for this game. Obviously, a much different scheme will be needed next week. The number of 'trickery' plays, while not very successful, did serve a purpose in keeping UNI's D guessing and staying honest. Possibly the overly vanilla display the prior week. Noted that the 'infamous' Wildcat formation was used only one time. The trick pay with Colvin getting the throw-back, would have been a nice gainer but for his drop. Special Teams were great. Smith was a huge key in the first half with his punting. I do agree the halfback option pass late in the game was a real headscratcher. The only thing I could think was that they saw something from up top that made them believe the LBs would be coming up and they could float the pass over top. However, the LBs didn't bite and Campbell should not have even tried throwing it. IMO that was an extremely high risk play that was not necessary. One of the best wins for Lehigh in a long time.

Yes, but TR was clearly not at 100% in the game and he was not getting any time to make a good decision -- he was running for his life for most of the game. The O-line was the weak link in this year's offense -- it forced a change to a run-first offense that centered around the QB. As the season wore on, he got more and more beat up due to lack of protection and the inevitable wear and tear tha comes from running the ball all the time and the piper finally showed up to get paid on Saturday.

But I digress, and I do agree with the Bizon fan about how as a fan I would much rather be indoors watching at 70 degrees than outside with an ice storm at 20 degree, or a foot of snow, or a downpour.

Belated congratulations to Lehigh.

I really didn't expect to see UNI do well this year. Not a fan of the option run, as our offense has proved to be inept at running it and can't throw more than 10 yards with the starting QB. Looks like Lehigh did their homework and found the simple formula to stop it.

As a UNI fan I can always hope next year will be different, but if history proves anything it will be a repeat of this year -- nothing past the first round if even that.
