The 7 D-I wins is not set in stone for selection.. It's just a consideration when it comes down to teams that may less.. You could have a team with just 6 D-I wins, but 1 or 2 againest transition teams and losses to only top 10 or BCS teams and still get in, especially with the expanded playoffs..
