The interesting thing is that ESPN is sending its Gameday crew to do the game, as if it was on ESPN1. I think we need a prayer from the collective FCS nation to keep this game under 70.xsmhx

I have said all along this game may surprise some of us. I am not saying a win for GSU but they will play hard.

No surprises at all in this game. The score will be directly related to the # of Alabama 9th stringers that see action on the field.

GSU vs Alabama will be as bad for the reputation of FCS as Jacksonville State vs Ole Miss was good...

Just glad that GSU won't be wearing the CAA logo on their jerseys this Saturday.

Please, the directional schools get killed every year.

true but the gap between GSU as a first year program vs the BCS defending national champion is wider than most mismatches.

What type of payout does GSU get for this game, and will it be worth it? I think JMU got $75,000 to go to VT this year,so just wondering

This thread gets better with every post.

Those 100 point games are quite the eye-opener.

Thanks but I honestly didn't mean it to be funny. For the sake of the players, I hope it doesn't go too badly for them. I'd just prefer that the CAA not be connected in any way to GSU's lame-brained decision to face one of the strongest FB programs in the country in their start-up year.

But, but, but.. Georgia State is in Atlanta, has produced several CEOs, has a has-been (if you can call him that, even) as a coach, and has fbs transfers so they are immediately going to be the best team in the fcs...

Oh, forgot to add they were on the cover of ESPN The Magazine too! Obviously, that makes them even better!

Too many GSU's in Georgia....

I hope Georgia Southern plays a tape of Erk before the game to motivate the troops.
