One of the strongest linebackers in Columbia Football history, Rory Wilfork was a dominant defender on the resurgent Columbia Footballteam. Teaming with fellow Hall of Famer Marcellus Wiley, Wilfork was the first player in Columbia history to earn first team All-Ivy League honors three consecutiveyears. Averaging more than 120 tackles a season over his final three years, Wilfork was a force to be reckoned with in the IvyLeague. With his actions speaking for themselves, he was known amongst his peers in theconference. But more importantly, Wilfork gained the respect of his coaches and teammates, becoming the first Columbia Lionto be a two-time captain since 1926, leading his team as a junior and senior. During those two years, Columbia made some huge steps in the rightdirection. He was part of the defensive unit his junior year that snappedPenn s 24-game winning streak, and led the Lions to an 8-2 overall record and 5-2 finish in the Ivy League as asenior.
