SWAC Softball/Baseball

Okay, Ralph didn't want other sport discussion on an I-AA discussion thread and I wanted to make sure that facts were known instead of the one-sided facts posted by one of the good ole boys from Southern that I had to do my research related to SWAC softball because they did have success in NCAA softball. So, I wanted to present my research...

Took til 2004 for the SWAC to get their first ever NCAA softball tournament win. How many years before that did the SWAC participate?

Face the music, the SWAC as a whole is an awful softball conference and not so great a baseball conference despite remarks posted on the SWAC boards and on this board, namely by Southern backers. The SWAC went 2-24 against the SLC in softball in 2005 and 1-25 against the SLC in baseball in 2005. That's a combined 3-49 against the SLC in 2005.

Geez, not enough research! Throw in 1-17 against the SLC in baseball in 2004 and 4-20 in 2003. Throw in 2-22 in 2002 and your looking at 8-84 since 2002. Was that enough research for my buddies from Southern?

Didn't have any softball results from 2003 and 2004 at hand, but I'm sure it was close to the same story considering the consistency of baseball results.

You guys have lame "research" remarks, but if you would sit back and do your own research, you'd realize the lack of results. Okay, fine. I am going after the SWAC once more, but when you guys continue to lob those quotes about me not knowing what I am talking, saying that I did not do my research about the given sports, I'm presenting to you the facts. Straight from conference releases.

That's all. Okay, your turn to show me how tainted my research is and that there's some legit research to prove me wrong. :lmao:

Hopefully the Kats get the wins, wouldn't want to eat my words, but considering the Kats' recent track record against the Tigers, hopefully the good times will roll...

And how does that make it any better? Lost to a Div II school. Granted, one of our SLC members (Nicholls State) did the same against an undefeated Arkansas-Monticello...but Div Is should not lose to Div IIs in any sport.

Oh well...SLC will look to get back on track. Doing good thus far this year, not oblivious to reality...and facing the reality that our conference is trying to get two teams into the NCAAs for the third time in the last, five years, I believe...

May as well state all the facts, you run on here to report on the SWAC so much, I thought you were the beat writer. Outside of the previous post where did you write about Nicholls losing to a DIV II school. Then you attempt to justify there lost, with this UNDEFEATED BS.

I can only speak for my school. We beat Southeastern and Nicholls last season. In baseball McNeese ran scared from SU after we embarrased them a couple of season's ago.

Southern got swept by Nicholls in a two-game series this weekend...

Nicholls is picked as the before-last team in the SLC this year...doubt McNeese is "running scared"... :)

Sorry buddy, I've worked for two HBCU schools in my time. I did not get rejected by them at all. Though, I did have loads of complications with both schools from an administrative standpoint due to lack of commitment of those schools to our athletic departments.

If you're gonna' report it TT, plz, be more accurate. PVA&M lost once to TxSt 7-1. I didn't see where it was a DH. Unless the reporting website is wrong (hope not). And if that's the case, the SLC is currently 6-0 against the SWAC while PVU has 4 more games against SLCers: McN et Lam. Surely we can go 4-1 against the SLC this year. xlolx

And plz sir, don't be biased w/ your consistent reporting. I'd like to know the scores when SWAC plays SWAC and other OOC members as well as it relates to baseball/softball. :)
